Dr. Nathaniel D. Hoover PT, DPT, OCS - Clinic Director
Raised in Wisconsin, Dr. Nate Hoover earned his Bachelor’s degree from UW-La Crosse in Exercise Sports Science and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at UW- Madison. He then completed the UW-Meriter Orthopedic PT Residency and is a board certified orthopedic clinical specialist. In addition, he is trained in triggerpoint dry needling which complements his manual therapy treatment approach for individuals of all ages. When not treating his patients, Dr. Hoover enjoys golfing, hunting, softball, traveling and spending time with his family/friends (including his rescue Redbone Coonhound, Harley).
Jenn Gums, Patient Care Coordinator
Jennifer had been an elementary teacher all of her life. In 2019, she decided to venture on a different path that still allowed her to connect and help others. Jennifer makes it a goal to create a safe, positive, caring and welcoming atmosphere for all who enter our clinic. Jennifer graduated from the University of Eau Claire with an Education degree and obtained her Masters degree. Jennifer and her husband Bob have two sons who are finishing their college careers in the Spring of 2020. She has made her family the number one priority in her life, and enjoys spending time in the outdoors with walking, biking, kayaking, boating, and going to their cabin. Jennifer is thrilled to grow as a team member at Optimal Physical Therapy, and looks forward to making a difference in the lives of all who enter our building.
Tiffany Wallom, PTA
Tiffany grew up in Winona, MN and made her way to Wisconsin to start her professional education at Carroll University in 2012. Tiffany earned her Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science which provided her with the opportunity of working as a Personal Trainer for 2 years at a private health club in Franklin, WI. After working one-on-one with clients for a couple of years, Tiffany knew she wanted to continue her education. She completed her Physical Therapist Assistant degree at Herzing University in April of 2019. Tiffany is certified in Aquatic Therapy and is the Director of our Aquatic Therapy program. Outside of the clinic, Tiffany loves to go hiking, playing volleyball, and reading suspense novels while curled up with her cat Milo.
Karen Anderson, PTA
Karen is a Physical Therapist Assistant that moved here from Colorado where she worked in outpatient rehab since 2011. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State University with an emphasis in sports medicine. Karen has mostly worked in Outpatient care, specializing in manual therapy techniques, sports injury rehab/prevention, car accidents, work injuries and chronic pain. After relocating to Wisconsin with her husband and two large Malamute dogs, she joined Optimal Physical Therapy. As of May 2019, she had her first daughter and is learning the new world of motherhood. Outside of work she enjoys exploring the state of Wisconsin, playing volleyball, yoga, pilates, cycling and wakesurfing.
Dr. Jared Hutterer, PT, DPT
Jared earned his Bachelor’s degree from UW-Green Bay in Human Biology with an emphasis in Exercise Science and his Doctorate in Physical Therapy at UW-Madison. He provides rehabilitative care using evidence based manual therapy and therapeutic exercise to improve an individual’s functional abilities specific to their lifestyle. His areas of special interest and in-depth training include vestibular and concussion management along with sports injury prevention and rehabilitative care for the overhead athlete. Outside of the clinic, Jared enjoys hunting, playing softball and volleyball, spending time on the water, and traveling to new places.
Dr. Jennifer Jeschke PT, DPT, CMPT, MFDc - Owner
Jennifer Jeschke is a Wisconsin native, born and raised in Racine, WI. She established her career in Lake Mills in 2004 and opened Optimal Physical Therapy in 2005. She is an active member of the Wisconsin Physical Therapy Association, currently serving as our district chair and board of directors for the Private Practice Special Interest Group. She received her Clinical Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. Areas of special interest and expertise include orthopedic and sports medicine, Injured Worker rehabilitation, and injury prevention, Trigger Point Dry Needling and Myofascial Decompression Techniques, and is a Certified Golf Performance Specialist through Nike and the Gray Institute. In her free time she enjoys volleyball, golf, swimming, travel, and running her 2 Texas rescue dogs.
Julie Larson, Office Manager
Julie is a Patient Care Coordinator. She has worked in retail most of her life as a General Manager. In 2016 she decided to transition into a new career. She has always been very passionate about people, and wanted to work in healthcare all her life. She is very interested in helping people achieve their goals and Physical Therapy was once a route she almost took. Now She is excited to be part of a wonderful team that has her goals and interests in mind! Outside of work she enjoys spending time with family and friends, massage therapy, being outdoors and traveling.
